
Assistive Devices Education Program for Therapists
(ADEPT Academy)
The ADEPT (Assistive Devices Education Program for Therapists) Academy – Ontario program is a joint initiative by the Ontario Home Medical Equipment Provider’s Association (OHMEPA), Motion and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT), to provide a comprehensive education program for therapists prescribing and authorizing mobility devices.
This program curriculum is eligible for CEUs* and follows a hybrid format with some sessions hosted online (hosted through the Motion Learning Portal) and some through in-person equipment workshops.
*CEUs for in person and online sessions of the ADEPT Academy curriculum are provided by our Accredited Provider Partner – Motion. Accredited Providers List – IACET
in-person equipment workshops
All equipment workshops are delivered in accordance with a standardized lesson that is compliant with the 2018_ANSI standards set by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). The workshops are taught by industry Subject Matter Knowledge Experts who are determined and vetted by OHMEPA.
