Hello! My name is Curtis Fraser RRTS and I am a Mobility Sales Consultant with Motion in Belleville, ON. I have been a dedicated and loyal employee of Motion for the last 16 years.
I started my career at Motion as a Mobility Technician. This position gave me a hands-on opportunity to learn about the many different pieces of equipment that Motion offers. Also, the position taught me how to set up, install, maintain, trouble shoot and repair each piece. I enjoyed weekly visits to several local long term care facilities to provide service on a multitude of different pieces of equipment including wheelchairs, rollators, power wheelchairs, lift out chairs, beds, lift systems and everything in between. These weekly visits have turned into several close working relationships that I cherish and still have today. I was in the Mobility Technician role for roughly 5 years, and it was an excellent stepping stone towards my goal of becoming a Mobility Sales Consultant.
As a Mobility Sales Consultant I enjoy working with Occupational Therapists and Physio Therapists to find the best mobility solutions possible for our clients. I enjoy researching new products and customizing items when required. In February of 2025 I received my RRTS designation from the International Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers. A very proud moment in my career.
Shortly after receiving my RRTS designation, I obtained my Central Equipment Pool (CEP) certification. The CEP program is designed to offer clients complex, high technology power mobility systems. It is operated and managed by Motion on behalf of the ADP program and The Ministry of Health. The CEP certification allowed me to provide clients with complex power wheelchairs that could include power options such as tilt, recline, seat elevate and elevating leg rests. The certification also allows me to provide advanced electronics and alternative drive systems such as head arrays and sip and puff controls.
Regarding training and development, I have organized and led dozens of in-house training sessions for therapists, nurses, LTC management, support workers and even students. Over the years we have discussed a wide range of topics. Topics have included power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, rollators, seating options, scooters, bathroom safety, lifts and slings, etc.
In addition to hosting and leading in-house training sessions I have spent countless hours within many LTC facilities conducting training and education on a wide range of topics.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my professional profile.
