Jane has been working with Motion for just under 4 years now, primarily working with the paediatric community. Prior to Jane working at Motion, Jane worked for Schlegel Villages for the Program for Active Living in a long-term care setting. Jane worked alongside an occupational and physical therapist, specifically focusing on mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers, exercise prescription, post operation rehab, falls prevention and safety within the long-term care population. Jane works along side occupational and physical therapists to aid in providing equipment to meet all individuals’ unique needs. During Janes time at Motion, Jane continues to work within the community (home care), seating clinic and in schools to aid in providing a comprehensive assessment of one’s mobility needs. Janes specific strengths are in walkers, standers, bathroom safety, transfers/transfers aids as well as manual wheelchairs and seating. Jane has a strong relationship with Motion’s vendor partners, as well as access to a wide range of demonstration equipment. Our vendor partners at Motion are also dedicated to providing equipment training, trials and demos when needed. Jane believes in an creating a supportive and inclusive assessment environment that focuses on individual autonomy and safety to reach individuals goals. In addition, Jane works hard to create a strong relationship with clients, providing therapists and essential stakeholders. Jane focuses on open communication and client involvement in equipment prescriptions.
